In 2006 Jeremy Wurmfeld’s innovative design work caught the eye of sailmaker Robbie Doyle and the two went on to co-found e Sailing Yachts and design the award winning e33. 

Drawing on their own sailing and racing experiences, Robbie and Jeremy were inspired to bring a new kind of sailing experience to market with boats that do not compromise performance and speed for comfort stability and ease of sail. With the launch of e33 hull #1 in September 2006, their vision became reality.

Robbie Doyle  Robbie started Doyle Sailmakers in 1982 drawing on his background in Applied Physics from Harvard University and an impressive record in the America's Cup.  Doyle Sailmakers was the first to apply the principle of Elliptical Aerodynamic Loading to sail shapes, leading to fast and efficient sails for Doyle's racing customers. These revolutionary shapes provided almost instant success on the race course, and allowed Doyle customers to post victories in a wide range of venues including the most demanding Maxi World Champions, 12 Meter World Champions, and 50-Foot Cup World Champions. The Doyle Sailmaking Group now operates 70 lofts in 30 countries.  As part of running Doyle Sailmakers and e Sailing Yachts, Robbie continues to enjoy sailing competitively around the world.

Jeremy Wurmfeld  Jeremy is a principal in the yacht design firm PERSAK & WURMFELD.  Initially schooled as a traditional architect, Jeremy’s lifetime of sailing experience inspired him turn to sailing and yacht design as a profession. A licensed captain, he skippered several charter and private yachts throughout the Eastern Caribbean before deciding to study yacht design and work with Sparkman & Stephens in New York City. There he designed a broad range of vessels for an international group of clients and boat builders. Jeremy is also an avid racing sailor who took part in many local, national and international campaigns. Jeremy has also co-founded Brooklyn Boatworks, an organization that brings boat building to students in the New York City public school system.
